Tallinn Official Sightseeing Tour - combined bus and walking excursion |
This combined bus and walking tour is an excellent way for first-time visitors to get to know Tallinn. Departing from the Port of Tallinn (D-Terminal) or in front of Sokos Hotel Viru. Tour is operated by Reisiekspert.

A bus tour first takes you through the most interesting parts of the city, with stops at the baroque Kadriorg Park, Song Festival Grounds and the seaside district of Pirita. An experienced tour guide will provide you nonstop with commentary about Estonian history and contemporary life. The walking part of the tour takes you through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tallinn Old Town.
Arriving at the Upper Town, you will start your guided walking tour which will includes viewing the Toompea Palace, which is now the seat of Estonia's parliament, and its Tall Hermann Tower. Visit the Russian Orthodox Church, inaugurated in 1900 and the 13th century Gothic style Dome Cathedral. Built on a cliff top, the Upper Town provides several superb points from which to view the red-gabled roofs and spires of the Lower Town.
Your tour continues as you follow your guide down the steep cobblestone Long and Short Leg Streets to the Lower Town. Among the highlights you will view are the apothecary, which opened in 1422, the Great Guild House, Church of the Holy Spirit and the 15th century Gothic Town Hall. The tour stops at the Town Hall.
Please note that comfortable shoes are recommended.You can join the Sightseeing Tour in Tallinn Port or in front of the Sokos Hotel Viru. Tour ends in Old Town.
The entire tour (including the bus tour and walking tour) lasts 2-2,5 hours. Sightseeing Tour takes place daily and all year round and available in English and Finnish.
From D-Terminal at 10:05 --> From Sokos Hotel Viru at 10:30 From D-Terminal at 12:55 --> From Sokos Hotel Viru at 13:20 every day, also on public holidays. The tour which starts at 10:05 ends in Old Town at 13:00 and tour which starts at 12:55 ends at 15:50.
During summer season 1.4.-31.10.2012 sightseeing is available daily also in German.
NB! We recommend to book your Sightseeing Tour in advance, latest two days before, together with your ticket. The tour cannot be booked at Info-desk on board. Please note that comfortable shoes are recommended.
How to recognize the Sightseeing bus? - From "Tallinn Official Sightseeing Tour" sign on the bus. There is a bus stop sign with text Tallinn official Sightseeing Tour in front of the terminal building, located on the right side of bus parking area. The bus could be either minibus or large tourist bus.
