1-4.7.2010 Medieval market
For four days, history comes alive in this authentic replica of a Medieval marketplace. The bustling market atmosphere is made real by the rows of market stalls, where mongers of all shapes and sizes sell everything a medieval buyer could possibly need. A veritable cavalcade of performing groups, jesters and minstrels take visitors on a trip back in time to Medieval Turku.

The Finnish Christmas City
The Grand Opening of the Christmas City will be celebrated in the end of November 2010 at the Cathedral Square. The ceremony is a starting shot for hundreds of Christmas events including art exhibitions, concerts, theatre performances and happy events for children. In Turku, Christmas is traditionally celebrated until St. Knut’s Day (13 January). The Christmas City offers various events for everyone during six weeks.
