Tallink`s passenger ferry Superfast VII returns to Helsinki-Rostock route on Monday, 26th of April. The second vessel, Superfast VIII, starts operating on the route on 30th of April, announced AS Tallink Grupp.
Tallink`s Sales and Marketing Director Peter Roose said that the company has received frequent feedback from passengers as well as cargo operators, who have been waiting for the ships to return to the route as soon as possible. „We are glad that we can now meet their expectations. The summer season time schedule until the end of August has been confirmed and the autumn season time schedule will be clear during the summer, “added Roose.
The time schedule of the route has been changed accordingly to the wishes of the customers. The ships depart from Helsinki at 19.00 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and arrive in Rostock the next day at 21.30. The departures from Rostock are scheduled to 02.00 am every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, arrival to Helsinki is scheduled to 07.00 am the next day. Superfast VII will make the first trip from Helsinki on Monday, April 26th at 19.00 and Superfast VIII on Friday, April 30th also from Helsinki at 19.00.
The ticket booking for Helsinki-Rostock route will be opened 21.4. at 17.00.
Due to the planned maintenance and repair works of both vessels, there was no traffic on Finland-Germany route from January 2010.
Tallink launched the shipping route between Finland and Germany in 2006 and is currently operating there with 2 fast passenger ferries Superfast VII and Superfast VIII. Both vessels have the capacity for over 700 passengers and almost 2000 lane meters for cargo and vehicles. |
