TALLINK TAXI - NEW SERVICE CONCEPT IN TALLINN

Tallink taxis started on 26th of May

The first new 51 yellow Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz B-class Tallink taxis start servicing passengers on 26th of May, when the most modern dispatcher centre in Tallinn is opened, announced AS Tallink Takso. The number of Tallink taxis will increase to 100 in autumn 2008.


The manager of AS Tallink Takso, Mr. Alger Holzmann said, that the goal is to launch a completely new quality of taxi services to the market. „The newest cars, polite and honest drivers and the most modern dispatcher centre enable us to offer this kind of taxi services, which nobody has experienced in Tallinn yet. We have taken a goal to improve the image of
Tallinn`s taxi business among local people as well as among tourists“, said Holzmann.

All employees of Tallink Takso have passed several thorough schoolings, including customer service and safety schoolings. The working time of the drivers is based on solid schedules, in the beginning of all shifts there is also an alcohol control. The confirmed monthly salary of drivers guarantees the motivation to offer reliable service in all situations.
All drivers of Tallink taxis will wear obligatory and solid uniform. The correctitude and cleanliness of the uniform will be checked in the beginning of every shift.

The most modern dispatcher centre in Tallinn is situated in city centre. The communicating with drivers is organized through GPRS system and the GPS system enables to locate all the taxis. This is useful for fast service of the clients and gives a good overview of the occupancy
of the cars. It also offers an additional security for the drivers and clients.
Next to the dispatcher centre, there is a closed parking ground for the taxis and drivers personal vehicles and carwash facilities.

According to the Tallink taxi price list the base fare is about 3 euros (48 EEK), kilometer rate 70 cents (10,90 EEK) and the waiting hour fee about 15 euros (239 EEK).

Tallink Takso is changing the cars to new ones every 2-3 years.
