Payment and cancellation terms for individual travellers starting from 15.9.2008

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION TERMS from September 15th 2008
(The terms apply to reservations that are made 15.9.2008 and after. Online reservations need to be paid immediately.)

The reservation must be paid 14 days before departure. If the reservation is made less than 14 days before departure, it needs to be paid immediately.  

The reservation can be cancelled without cancellation fee 14 days before departure. For reservations that are cancelled 13-2 days before departure a fee of 20 % is charged. Later than 48 h before departure, cancellation fee is 100%. 

In case the return of a reservation is unused, the price of oneway ticket is deducted of the paid sum and the remainder is refunded according the cancellation terms.

Exceptions:

Rostock line
The reservation must be paid latest 28 days before departure. If the reservation is made less than 28 days before departure, it needs to be paid immediately.  

The reservation can be cancelled without cancellation fee 28 days before departure. For reservations that are cancelled 27-14 days before departure a fee of 25 % charged and cancellations 13-2 days before departure a fee of 50 % is charged.Later than 48 h before departure, cancellation fee is 100%.

Early bookers discount
The reservation must be paid latest 28 days before departure. No refund on cancellations. Rostock line: payment latest 60 days before departure.

Last minute
Payment immediately. No possibilities for change or cancellation refunds.

Special trips
The reservation must be paid within 7 days. No possibility to change if departure is within 14 days.

The reservation can be cancelled without cancellation fee 28 days before departure. For reservations that are cancelled 27-14 days before departure a fee of 50 % is charged.Later than 14 days before departure, cancellation fee is 100%.


Hotel packages
The reservation must be paid latest 14 days before departure.

The reservation can be cancelled without cancellation fee 14 days before departure. For reservations that are cancelled 13-2 days before departure a fee of 50 % is charged. Later than 48 h before departure, cancellation fee is 100%.

AirSea packages
The reservation must be paid latest 14 days before departure.

The reservation can be cancelled without cancellation fee 14 days before departure. For reservations that are cancelled 13-2 days before departure a fee of 50 % is charged. Later than 48 h before departure, cancellation fee is 100%.

After the air ticket is printed, no changes (not even name corrections) are possible!

Partner service providers
In case the reservation includes a service that is produced by some other company than Tallink Silja, like a hotel or another shipping company, the service provider's cancellation terms are followed. For the sea voyage provided by Tallink Silja, the payment and cancellation terms above are followed.

Hotels
Hotel accommodation must be paid 14 days before departure.

Hotel accommodation can be cancelled free of charge 14 days before departure. For cancellations that are made 13 - 2 days before departure a fee of 50% is charged. If cancellation is done later than 48h before departure the accommodation is charged in full.

Ski- accommodation
If the reservation's total exceeds 500 €, a deposit of 200 € is needed per reservation within 7 days. The reservation must be paid in full latest 28 days before departure. If cancellation to accommodation is done 28 - 21 days before departure, the cancellation fee is 50%. If the accommodation is done less than 21 days before departure, the fee is 100%.
 


NB!
• The percentage is calculated on cabins, vehicles and hotel prices, not on prepaid onboard services
• For a doctor's certificate on cancellation only office fee of 10€ is charged
• If the reservation is not paid by the due date Tallink Silja has the right to cancel the reservation.
• There are separate payment and cancellation terms for group reservations.
