Marzipan city Lübeck

The hanse city of Lübeck is one of the most interesting of Germany's old cities. It is on the Unesco's world heritage list and the old town is protected and cared for with pride and dignity.

The old town is dominated by the five churches and their seven spires. The Marien churh has the biggest mechanic organs in the world. The most famous bourgeois house is House Buddenbrook that was in possession of family Mann. Thomas Mann described in his books the citizens so sharply that it took decades before they forgave him.

Surrounded by Trave and Wakenitz rivers the old town ïs visitor friendly. The distances are short and there is plenty of wonderful things to see.

The cityscape is dominated by brick gothics and old pediment houses. restaurants of all styles are to be found and shopping possibilities on Breite Strasse are splendid.
