INSTRUCTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Tallink Silja's aim is that disabled people can travel on board our ships as independently, smoothly and easily as possible. The assistance provided by the terminals and/or cruise line, is meant for passengers whose mobility is reduced due to a physical injury or disability, for visually - and hearing impaired, for temporarily disabled and for all passengers who need special assistance.

The service is free of charge. To make sure that everything goes smoothly and your voyage is as pleasant as possible, please remember to: Notify the travel agency or cruise line of your need of assistance. Make sure that you have all the necessary information that you need before carrying out your travel plans. Be realistic about your needs for assistance especially if you are not able to walk long distances without help. Distances between check-in and the vessels can be very long.

The assistance provided by the terminals and/or cruise line is so called general assistance. If you need personal assistance for example while dining, lifting, staying in contact, taking medication and going to the toilet, you are required to have your own assistant with you.

ASSISTANCE SERVICE

When booking your trip, or at the latest by 48 hours before departure, you must order the assistance service from your travel agency or the cruise line. Please also inform if you are using a wheelchair or other assistive devices. Upon arrival to the terminal, the person in need of assistance has to register at the meeting point. When the assistant has been informed of your arrival, he/she will come help you with check-in and will escort you to the ship. If you are an arriving passenger, you will be assisted from the ship to the meeting point at the terminal.
