SELF CHECK-IN

Check-in for Helsinki-Tallinn fast ferries (one-way trips, Day in Tallinn/Helsinki cruises and Tallink hotel trips to Tallinn) can be done comfortably and without queuing by your mobile phone or Online when it’s convenient for you!

Also if you are traveling with a deck place between Turku and Stockholm or to/from Åland on Silja Line ships you can do your check-in online before arriving at the terminal!

You can do the check-in by using the Tallink Silja mobile app or on the computer online 24h - ½h before the departure time, (with the vehicle at least 45 minutes before departure).

 

ONLINE CHECK-IN

 

Please note that the check-in gates in the terminal will be closed and the boarding will end 20 minutes before the ship's departure time.
Car drivers must be at the car check-in no later than one hour before the ship departs.


On the departure day, you can do check-in at the self-check-in kiosk.

You will also always have a traditional check-in desk where you can get personal service from our staff.

Tallink takes a 5 EUR fee/ person when check-in is done at the terminal service desk. 

From 1.3. 2024 the fee is introduced in all ports where self-service check-in is possible:

Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, Turku & Marienhamn
 

  • Registration fee 5 € per direction/passenger
  • Applies to all, except Suite, Executive Suite, Junior Suite, and Commodore cabin class passengers and On Tallink Shuttles, the registration fee is not charged for the Business Lounge and Platinum Lounge passengers
  • On a cruise where both directions are registered at the same time, the price is 5€ per passenger
  • For roundtrips where outway and return is on different day fee is charged per direction, in total 10 € / person.
  • The service fee applies to passengers aged 18 and over
  • We prefer contactless transactions and only accept card payments.
  • Disabled and reduced mobility passengers free of charge

 

NOTE! You will need a booking and security number from your booking confirmation to do the check-in.

  • Download the free Tallink Silja -mobile application from your app store (iOS or Android)
  • Sign in with your Club One information or enter your reservation number and security number
  • You can see your reservation and check-in
  • The digital mobile boarding card with its QR-code for gate can be conveniently found directly from the app. It also works without a network connection

Note! If you have done the check-in both for your outway and return trip (day cruise) with a mobile app, the boarding pass of the return journey will appear only after the outway trip has been travelled. If you lose your mobile boarding card and you don't have a mobile app, go to checkin.tallink.com and sign in with your booking number and security number from confirmation.

  • Check-in can be done through the link (sent to you by email) which will direct you to the check-in page
  • Log in with a reservation number and security number
  • Please note that when making the check-in on the computer, the boarding pass must be printed

Start your check-in by opening your reservation:

  • write the booking number and the security number, which can be found on the booking confirmation OR
  • by inserting Club One card to a reader OR
  • scan the barcode on the booking confirmation with the reader
  • verify that your reservation details are correct, and then press "Check In" in order to print the boarding passes for your sea voyage



You can also make payments for your future bookings (not Riga) and fill in missing passenger information over the self-service check-in kiosk.

Check-in machine allows you to make check-in only for the departure leaving from that particular terminal you are at. (e.g. you can’t make check-in at the Helsinki West Terminal if your booking is for a ship departing from Stockholm).
